"Take It to the Limit" is a song written by American musicians Randy Meisner, Don Henley, and Glenn Frey that was first recorded by Eagles and released in 1975 as the single Take It to the Limit (on which Meisner sang lead), the third release from their fourth album "One of These Nights" (Meisner's performance of the song was popular with the audience during Eagles concerts, but disputes over his reluctance to perform it is said to have directly led to Meisner's departure from the band).
