Jack Clement (1931-2013) became one of the most respected and influential figures in the country music industry. He was not only a successful songwriter, but also a studio engineer, producer, recording studio owner, music publisher, and performer. Clement went to work for Sam Phillips at Sun Records in the late 1950s, then moved to Nashville in 1960 to work for Chet Atkins at RCA. In the 1970s, he established his own label and was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2013.
