“Garden” is a Biblical reference to the Garden Of Eden, or better known as “Paradise”. On the song, Dua is reminiscing on the good time she had with her lover and the adventures she enjoyed with them. But now her relationship is failing and she wonders if she’ll be able to leave their ‘paradise’ to escape how awful their relationship has become. Garden of Eden is described in the Book Of Genesis, which connects the song to the opening track of the album, “Genesis”, which also uses Biblical references in its narrative.
