Description
The New York Daily News states, "She is simply one of the most spellbinding singers of our time." Critics nationwide have been equal in their praise of superstar Linda Eder. The Los Angeles Times wrote, "A voice like Linda Eder's is rare, the sensitivity to use it, rarer still." Her first real national exposure was via "Star Search," where she enjoyed an unprecedented 13-weeks of success. In 1990, "Jekyll & Hyde" premiered in Houston, with Linda in the pivotal role of Lucy. Linda's preformance earned her the Theatre World Award for Best Braodway Debut, as well as the Drama Desk and outer Critics' Circle Award Nominations for Best Actress in a Musical. The one and only Llinda Eder joins Hector Guzman and your Plano Symphony in her famed "Tribute to Judy Garland" including "Zing! Went the Strings of My Heart" and "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" on the second half of the concert. The first half of the concert will include Gershwin's "Cuban Overture" and selections from "Fiddler on the Roof" and Leonard Bernstein's "Fancy Free."
