The third mixtape from Devon Hendryx, now known as JPEGMAFIA. All tracks are mixed, mastered, and produced by Devon Hendryx aka "The Rockwood Escape Plan".
The mixtape has 4 major versions.
Version 1, known as the original version, features a cover art exclusive to this version and the song "The Laughing Man."
Version 2, done just about a month after the project's release, removed the track The Laughing Man and updated the cover art. This second cover art is extremely low-resolution.
Version 3, done nearly a year after the second version, removes the verse on Sabbath School and makes the song transition into Bully, adds a fadeout to Neon Kitchen, renames "Re: Neon Kitchen" to "Neon Kitchen II", extends Game Of The Century via adding a clip of maniacal laughing at the end, and adds the song "1989 (Michelle's Song)", also known as "1989 (I Used To Know Her)", as a download exclusive bonus track. The cover art also has added a parental advisory sticker which is higher resolution than the entire cover art.
Version 4 is the final and most well-known version, featuring Enso Sinatra in an Iron Man mask on the cover, the photo being taken from a "ratchet ass party", this version removes 1989 & Game of the Century, replacing both with the track Blue Seed.
In 2018, a slightly censored version of the mixtape replaced the third version as part of an effort to remove potentially offensive material from his older music. This version censored the word "faggot" from the track Bully, despite it still being in other tracks, and censored the word "white" from Neon Kitchen II.
The mixtape has been uploaded to streaming unofficially multiple times but typically removed months after each upload due to copyright strikes from sample rights holders & Devon himself.
In 2023, to celebrate the 10th anniversary of his final album under the Devon Hendryx moniker THE GHOST~POP TAPE, he announced he would upload all of his Devon Hendryx work that is on his Bandcamp to streaming. However, due to an unknown reason, JOECHILLWORLD would go off-streaming in early 2024, being returned weeks later for unknown reasons. The first ever JOECHILLWORLD physical release happened in May 2024, including vinyl, CD, and cassette using the original 12-song tracklist. The description on JPEGMAFIA's shop reads:
"Originally released in 2010
And re-uploaded in 2011 with a new cover and songs added and removed
Mix updated in 2012 along with all tapes when YouTube reset all my upload dates to may 5 2012.
