Blending elements of blue eyed soul with contemporary sounds Jamie Kimmett is truly a unique artist from the west coast of Scotland. Jamie is blessed with a voice of genuine sensitivity and soulful intensity. A recent music school graduate of Edinburgh’s Ian Tomlin School of Music, Jamie is a talented and educated musician with exceptional song writing sensibilities. His live performances are passionate, humorous, gritty and emotional - quoted by the Scottish daily express newspaper as ''dripping charisma''. "I have always had a very strong connection with the world, music and musical instruments, reflects Jamie. "I find it very natural to express myself when holding or playing an instrument. Growing up around music in a small Scottish town where I had few resources has its benefits”, he adds "It has given me the drive to succeed, allowed me to grow as an artist and remain a grounded and compassionate person". Jamie’s most recent travels have taken him to the U.S. where he has written and recorded with Grammy award winning writers/producers, had his music featured on national TV and performed at various top Los Angeles venues and amphitheatres. He is currently preparing for his first release while working on a number of exciting projects. One project close to Jamie is a the Butterfly Effect Foundation. He has written a theme song for the foundation and upcoming events called "Move the World". A portion of the proceeds from the song will go to the Foundation, which helps to build orphanages in Africa and Burma.
