Biography

"It's as if Don Henley, Elvis Presley and the Everly Brothers met late one night at a Texas Roadhouse parking lot and beat the crap out of each other and what came out was Jon Christopher Davis. He's brains, hips and harmonies."
– Stan Lynch of Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers/Producer for Don Henley

Texas native singer-songwriter Jon Christopher Davis debuted on the indie Palo Duro record label in August 2006. His song "The Bottom Line" is a biting commentary on mainstream commercial music that drew the attention of USA Today music critic Ken Barnes.

Davis' career includes writing songs for publishers Warner Chappell and BMG, and he has collaborated with many music greats like Radney Foster, Rodney Crowell, Steve Lukather (Toto), Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, Stan Lynch, Charlotte Caffey (The Go Go's). His writing career includes songs written for artists such as Dolly Parton, Hal Ketchum, Tammy Cochran, Sherrie Austin ("Little Bird"), Billy Ray Cyrus and Timothy B. Schmit of the Eagles.

Jon is producing a "Lone Star Attitude" show, a tribute to Texas music. His other ventures include a Texas-themed store at DFW Airport, also named "Lone Star Attitude" after his song of this same name, as well as a line of maternity gifts named for the "Baby Looks Good On You" tune he wrote for his wife Kelly while she was expecting. Both can be heard on his latest CD.
