“Two Worlds Apart“ is the third track to Little Simz's fourth studio album Sometimes I Might Be Introvert.
She revealed the following about the track during an interview with Apple Music:
“Firstly, I love this sample; it’s “The Agony and the Ecstasy” by Smokey Robinson, and Flo’s chopped it up really cool. This is my moment to flex. You had the opener, followed by a nice, smoother vibe, but this is like, ‘Hey, you’re listening to a rap album.’…Whilst he was making the album, I was just listening to all these legends and all these records that they had made, and they had made them in, like, their 20s, and it’s like you hear them and you think “They must be in their 40s” but they were young and made these classic, classic songs and albums, and it kind of just blew my mind like, wow you don’t really hear that no more. So, I just felt some sort of calling to bring myself to that vibe and make it modern but still feel “old school” and really “hip-hop.” ‘Cause I feel like with the bounce on it you can easily be so chilled but you can also mosh.“
