Once I listened to his live in a church - Rafael gets his guitar and makes guitar drones. The church has this very beautiful acoustic and music spreads all around in the places where in common times you see people praying and mumbling. Rafael does not say a word, but this un-earthly sounds delivered in a sacred place has more meaning and love in it than any other preachers stand-up action. I mean mass... Funny thing is that this was only time I felt something spiritual and uplifting in a church. There was a moment when Rafael made his chaotic and harsh drones go in a very loud mode. I was sitting and loving every moment of it, but few non-believers left the church. After this kind of cathartic scene he brought more calmly monotonic sounds - The one you use for dreaming in slow motion and think about beautiful stuff. more stories you can check here :) - https://www.instagram.com/casual_music_enthusiast13/

"Midnight Colours" is astonishing, it's colorful yet minimalistic, full of layers, yet easily listenable.

Ben Frost of drone music. Obvious, generic, cheap. Some dudes want to revive their hurted, destroyed narcissism every night by wrapping their soul with melancholia and listen to such generic melancholia invoking cr*p. Worse than post rock since this is even more pretentious. Go listen to Cremation Lily or some stuff like that to see how this should be done.

'A Fragile Geography' is gorgeous. The more I listen to it, the better it gets. <3
