As for my music, thanks :) I don't know if you'd like Alestorm, they're a folk metal band and in particular they play pirate metal. Check them out on Youtube, they've just released their third album and I think it's at least as good as the previous ones. You've been listening to some nice music last week as well :) Though I've had no idea that Jeff Bridges is a musician as well as an actor ;)

Well, I guessed as much... Is the same true about all of the Middle East? I mean reasons one and three, if there is reason number two in a given country, it's in the news ;) And I guess everybody over here is well aware of what is happening right now in your region... And when you say "Islamics and their religious bullshit", you mean official state law that's mimicking the Quran, or simply tradition and a general feeling in the society that doesn't allow for concerts? If it's the latter, whe have something like that in Poland, though on a far smaller scale (nearly every time a black metal band wants to come to Poland, various religious groups disagree and somehow make the organizers and/or local authorities cancel the show; and Nergal, the leader of Behemoth, is being sued right now for destroing the Bible on stage), but I understand it's a lot worse over there in terms of religion and overzealousness ;)

Sorry for not replying earlier, had a busy weekend and then worked all day yesterday. The gig was awesome, they've just about tore my head off... I think they were impressed too, Myles looked like a child in a toyshop (the pure elation on his face, a priceless thing to see :) ) and I hope they come back soon :) I've been wondering the past few days... do you get any concerts over there? In Iraq and in the Middle East in general? I don't mean local stars of course, they're pretty obvious, but what about international stars? Because I know most bands tour North America, Europe, Australia and Japan regularly and South America and South East Asia from time to time, but I have no idea about the rest of the world...

I guess you're not getting many concerts in Iraq right now, but maybe the situation is going to improve in a few years time? I realise Iraq isn't a very stable country, but that has to change sooner or later and then the bands will start coming, you'll see :) Poland was a communist country 20 years ago and concerts by bands from the western world weren't exactly commonplace, but now - name any great band, and they've been to Poland, a few times already more often than not and it's not really a new situation, it's been going on for the past ten years or so... So keep your spirits high ;)

Nah, I think it's a general Alter Bridge addiction; Blackbird does seem to be my fav AB song, though (I'm thinking of getting a blackbird tattoo on my arm, exactly as depicted on the album cover) I've been listening to AB songs a lot recently cause I'm getting ready for seeing them live for the first time :)
