Congrats on your 15th LASTFM ANNIVERSARY, 2 days ago :-) ... When you think about - from today's viewpoint - how did your musical taste form over those years?...

Hi :) 'Thought you might like to know (if you didn't already) that The Grapes of Wrath have not only reunited and started playing together again (original members) but that they're recording a new album this Spring. All of this and other stuff (merch etc.) is on their Facebook page if you're interested. https://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Grapes-Of-Wrath/125786907433634?ref=ts (Sending you this because I noticed you had played All the Things I Wasn't.)

Hello there, saw your post on NHA's page and had to stop by and say I feel the same sometimes as far as all the music I've 'scrobbled'. But then again I can't stand television and I've unfortunately stopped reading as much as I used too - but my wife's an English teacher and she's gotten me back to reading some of the semi-classics(short stories mostly) Faulkner, Steinbeck, Hemingway, Fitzgerald etc) I'm also really into the Beat stuff and have been searching for any kind of Ginsberg recently - especially Howl. I guess it's my lucky day seeing that you sell old lit. Seems very strange I can't find it any any bookstores- either the big stores or the good old used book stores - so if you have any in stock I'm 'in the market' for it and would pay whatever the asking price. Thanks, hope to hear from you.

Yeah, that was sort of my mailing address. I sent it to you in Chinese characters... thought you could print it out and stick it to the envelope. If you use a machine that can read those (whatever you used the first time, I guess) you can get it. Or if you give me an email address I can send it that way. But I must admit... getting mail from Canada is tricky. China sometimes blocks that. It's like the great firewall but low-tech.

Well thanks back :) I love to see The Gun Club and The Replacements in your top artists (my plays don't reflect how much I listen to 'em). And yes, X is more than worth another listen..along with John Doe's solo music and The Knitters.

Lucky you, having Tommy as a semi-regular customer! Unfortunately I was never lucky enough to meet him. As for the whistling, I would give anything to have him whistle for me. This former coworker of yours must have been a real piece of work. If you don't mind me asking, where do you work? I'm in and around Halifax quite often and am definitely an antique-y type gal - I would assume that I've visited the shop you work at!

I couldn't stop myself from letting you know that I am totally intrigued by your "about me" section - not only an antiquarian bookseller from NS but you also have a shout out to Tommy Makem. Nice.
